"You may now kiss the bride," the officiant said.

Like every wedding, I was in the back of the church with my
game face on, ready to capture this kiss no matter what.

But like I had never seen before,
Newel and Lindsay were in no hurry to march up
the aisle as husband and wife.

They kissed, they smiled, they laughed.
He whispered in her ear and kissed her cheek.
They basked in their guests applause and kissed again.

And I stood at the back of the church grinning like an idiot...
and captured it all, of course.

My absolute, favorite moment on a wedding day is the First Kiss.

Filled with passionate romance or simply shy and sweet,
you can tell so much about a couple's personality
by that first kiss as husband and wife.

But I have to say, if I gave out a prize for my favorite first kiss
of all time, Newel and Lindsay would win the blue ribbon. ;)
